About

Hello,

I am Martina Krastev, an XR designer based in Berlin, Germany.

After earning my Bachelor's in Industrial Design from TU Sofia in 2011, I began my career at Medion AG in Essen, Germany. There, I worked on a broad range of products, from consumer electronics and gaming devices to IoT and retail design, gaining hands-on experience from concept to production.

Many of my designs have been mass-produced and have received industry recognition.

In 2022, I completed a Master's in Media Spaces (New Media Design) at the University of Applied Sciences Europe, in Berlin. This deepened my understanding of emerging media technologies and sharpened my focus on immersive design, especially within VR/AR/MR.

My foundation in industrial design shapes my approach to XR, bringing a deep understanding of physical space, form, and human-centered functionality into digital environments.

I’m currently a Senior XR Designer at realworld-one, where I work closely with clients to understand their business goals, user needs, and pain points.

I facilitate workshops, develop user flows, and create VR mockups to explore and communicate concepts—collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Beyond project work, I actively lead cross-departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and appeal of our XR experiences. I’m a strong advocate for collaboration and team-driven design.

More recently, I’ve been focusing on optimizing our workflows and processes to improve both creative output and operational efficiency.
